Senior Engineer (Platform Team)

Build the developer platform that powers Larry AI — the product surface where engineers meet near-deterministic AI coding agents at scale.

At CodeStrap, we do not just build software; we engineer competitive advantages. We are building Larry AI — a proprietary, near-deterministic AI coding platform designed for broad developer adoption. We are playing in the same league as Cursor and Anthropic.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Platform Team. This is not a role for someone who only wants to write isolated features. This is a role for an expert individual contributor who takes Extreme Ownership over the product surface — the platform UI for engineers, backend services, CLI tools, and x-reason agents that thousands of engineers will rely on.

You will build and evolve the platform end to end: from the react-based product UI and Express backend that stream agent execution, through x-reason state-machine agents, to auth, payments, and platform integrations that make Larry AI deployable at scale. You will collaborate closely with Core, Infra, and Knowledge teams — and contribute outside Platform when the problem demands it.

✅ Requirements

💼 Experience

• 8+ years of hard-core software engineering experience
• Proven track record as a Senior or Expert-level individual contributor
• Confidence owning complex product initiatives from design through production

🏗️ Tech stack mastery

• Absolute expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents in production systems
• Comfort working in Docker and VM environments for isolated, secure execution
• Deep understanding of Nx monorepos and why large codebases are structured this way
• Familiarity with the developer tools ecosystem — VSCode extensions, CLIs, and third-party integrations

🧩 Responsibilities

1. Larry VSCode Extension & Backend: Build the extension UI layer and Express backend that connect engineers to x-reason coding agents.
2. x-reason Agents: Develop and improve AI agents — from React coding agents to domain-specific workflows — using the x-reason state-machine framework.
3. CLI Tools: Build and maintain Larry CLI tooling for code generation and agent debugging.
4. User-facing platform: Design and implement auth flows, payments, and enterprise integrations (GitHub, GSuite, Azure DevOps) — the web and mobile platform surface for Larry AI.
5. Scale & cross-team collaboration: Work with Infra to deploy containerized agent infrastructure to the cloud at scale; collaborate with Core, Infra, and Knowledge teams and contribute across the stack when needed.
