Senior Engineer (Infrastructure Team)

🧠 Role overview

At CodeStrap, we do not just build software; we engineer competitive advantages. We are building Larry AI — a proprietary, near-deterministic AI coding platform designed for broad developer adoption. We are playing in the same league as Cursor and Anthropic.

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to build this platform with our core team. You will work on system design and take ownership of delivery — from EKS services and queues to Pulumi/Terraform infrastructure and production operations.

This is a hands-on platform & infrastructure role. You write production TypeScript services, stand up AWS infrastructure, and make sure long-running agent workflows are reliable, observable, and secure.

✅ Requirements

💼 Experience

• 8+ years of hard-core software engineering experience
• 3+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience
• 3+ years building React applications
• 3+ years building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Shipped and operated multi-service systems in production
• Comfort owning infrastructure decisions and delivery

🏗️ Tech stack mastery

• Absolute expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js
• Deep understanding of Nx monorepos and why large codebases are structured this way
• Strong AWS experience (EKS, networking, IAM, secrets)
• Production Kubernetes — deployments, ingress, health checks, scaling

• Familiarity with the developer tools ecosystem — VSCode extensions, CLIs, and third-party integrations

🔥 Extreme ownership

• You see a gap in staging or production and close it
• You design for failure: worker crashes, duplicate webhooks, Redis restarts

🧩 Responsibilities

1. Platform APIs: Build and deploy orchestrator-style APIs on EKS (start, resume, state reads, auth).
2. Async jobs: Implement job queues and workers for indexing, build, and release tasks triggered from the platform.
3. Data layer: Design and evolve the platform data layer — storage boundaries, access patterns, and consistency at scale.
4. Integrations: Connect internal and external systems across the platform — reliable event handling, callbacks, and handoffs at scale.
5. Operations: Logging, tracing, alerting, and incident response for the production environment.
6. Developer experience: Own monorepo tooling and local dev workflows.
7. Monorepo migrations: Plan and execute large-scale structural changes without freezing delivery.
8. CI/CD: Own CI/CD pipelines end to end.
